In the on-going pursuit of accuracy and consistency, we have now included Shapr3D by Siemens into our digital workflow.
This software allows us to shape, carve and mold our bodies and necks with incredible accuracy. It also allows us to flip, rotate, zoom and edit specifications to the 1/10th of a millimetre. Once completed, we can export our designs to an .STL file. From there we can import our 3D model into MeshCAM where we generate our toolpaths and see the 3D simulation of the actual cutting of the body.
Once finalized, we export this file to GCode and run the job on our CNC machine.
We’re excited to start new projects based on this workflow. This will allow us to produce exacting and repeatable specifications in the shortest amount of time possible. This creates higher quality and reduced labour in the pre-finishing stages of production.
