Wiring is one of those aspects of guitar building that requires patience and attention to detail. We always label wires coming into to the control cavity, the pots and which side of the toggle switch is the bridge or neck position.
Why? Simple . . . guitars can last years, decades, generations or even longer. People can end up wanting to change pickups, replace the pots, switches or jacks to suit their tastes or to repair/replace components that may have failed. Labelling ensures there is no guess work and helps a future repair tech or owner has an easy time of identifying what is what inside the cavity.
It also helps us to identify any problems when testing a guitar before delivery. Makes life much easier. And it’s part of our ethos of making sure an instrument is of the highest quality and craftsmanship.
